Swing by our spring welcome back event on Friday, January 23rd, at 3PM in the OSEI Community Room, to make vision boards or punch cards for your 2026 goals! We will also have boba!

Join us on January 31 as we bring together students, clinicians, and community organizations for an afternoon centered around sexual health and wellness. Everyone is welcome!! Talking about sexual health should feel empowering, inclusive, and judgment-free.

February

Get excited! OSEI is hosting another clothing swap on Monday, February 9th, from 6:30-8:00PM in the OSEI Community Room!

Same as in the past, feel free to bring up to 10 items that are clean and in good condition, but you don’t have to bring anything to take clothes from the swap. Starter clothes of a variety of sizes will be available! All leftover clothes will be donated or saved for the next swap!

The Women’s Center invites students, staff, and faculty to a warm and welcoming Community Brunch. Join us on Friday, February 13, from 10:30 to 11:45 a.m. for good food, company, and a chance to create handwritten cards for the people who matter most. We will have food from La Madeleine!

Join us for a lecture and book talk with Dr. Mona Lena Krook, award-winning scholar and author of Elect Women for a Change. Her work explores electoral gender quotas and global strategies to address violence against women in politics.

Hosted by Georgetown University’s Women’s & Gender Studies Program in collaboration with the Department of Government and the Women’s Center.

The Women’s Center is co-sponsoring a Lecture Fund event on April 15th, 5 PM, at McShain Large Lounge. It will be a conversation with former Congresswoman Cori Bush, moderated by Prof. Nadia Brown. This conversation will touch on grassroots organizing, health and housing justice, communal solidarity, and the future of progressive leadership.

Join the Women’s Center and GU Women of Color for a craft and sip! On Friday, April 10th, from 2:30-4PM in the OSEI Community Room, we will have bracelet jewelry making with boba!

Join the Women’s Center, Native Student Engagement, American Studies, and the Anthropology Department for a discussion on how tattoos serve as powerful expressions of identity and bodily autonomy, situated within decolonial perspectives and the dynamics of respectability politics. “Reclaiming Tattoos: Identity and Expression” will take place on Monday, April 20th, from 6:30-8:00PM in the Office of Student Equity and Inclusion. We hope to see you there!

The panel portion of the event will feature student-moderated conversations with Georgetown professors. Please also stay after the panel for Chaia tacos, temporary tattoo art, a prize raffle, and community conversation!
